It's important for you to know that you have a trainer that is well educated in fitness and meets the necessary requirements to properly train you. Here's my background. During high school I lettered in three sports, volleyball, basketball, and softball. I taught the fundamentals of these sports in a number of summer camps and went on to play Division 1-A college softball for East Carolina University where I graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Child Development and Family Relations. During my time at the Real Crisis Counseling Center in North Carolina I worked with people helping guide them through tough emotional situations. Working there helped me develop good listening and people skills and instilled in me the belief that the best way to help people is to teach them to help themselves. Combining my degree in psychology with my love of athletics I made the decision to help people use their minds and body in tandem to create a high level of health and fitness. Thus my career as a personal trainer was born. For five years I trained clients at a major fitness center in California where I helped my clients understand the importance of nutrition. To help emphasis the magical equation of calories in verses calories expended I stressed the importance of feeding your body like a fire by eating small meals frequently so calories are burned all day long. After working in a high profile position and having the opportunity to help all types of people meet their personal fitness goals I decided to open my own gym and bring my training skills online. Here I have the opportunity to fully implement my fitness philosophy. I believe when you combine the physical activities of weight training, aerobics, and stretching with the daily habits of proper nutrition, getting enough sleep, purposeful work, playful recreation, and meaningful relationships you achieve an integrated state of health, fitness, and happiness.
